Wireless printing and scanning
For printing and scanning, the built-in Wi-Fi feature makes life much easier for users, enabling wireless printing from a laptop or smartphone. You simply need to connect both the printer and your device to the same Wi-Fi network.
There is also a Wi-Fi Direct feature, which utilizes the printer's own network. You just need to connect your device to Wi-Fi Direct by entering the printer's password, and then you can proceed with printing or scanning.
So, if you are in a rush, there is no need for the hassle of opening a laptop, turning on a computer, or plugging in cables just to print or scan. With this Wi-Fi feature, you can even use multiple devices simultaneously.
Additionally, Brother provides the Brother iPrint&Scan app, available for download on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. You can print or scan directly through the app and view printer information, such as the cartridge model and remaining ink levels in the tanks.
However, if a Wi-Fi network isn't available, the Brother DCP-T510W still supports conventional methods. You can print or scan to a laptop or PC by connecting the USB cable located inside the printer unit. The Brother DCP-T510W also functions as a photocopier. Simply lift the scanner lid, place your document on the glass, and press the "Start" button—choose the monochrome option for black-and-white copies or the color option for color copies.
Easy ink refilling
Regarding ink, the Brother DCP-T510W features a user-friendly Refill Tank System. The ink tanks are conveniently located at the front of the printer and encased behind a transparent plastic cover, making it easy to both refill the ink and check current ink levels.
The Refill Tank System also helps minimize expenses by lowering printing costs. A full black ink tank allows you to print up to 6,500 pages, while the color ink tanks provide a yield of 5,000 pages.
