HP LaserJet P4015 Driver – The HP LaserJet P4015 is huge, ugly, and expensive for a black and white printer. However, HP isn’t attempting to contend with Canon’s Laser-Fired LBP 3100B and other lower-end mono lasers. The P4015N is designed for companies that must perform inexpensive, fast, high quality, and high quantity published jobs daily.

HP LaserJet P4015 Overview
What would you anticipate if you would pay £1,000 for a mono printer? At that price, you probably wanted a great speed, several feed trays, a duplexer, networking, PostScript, and PCL, and a great deal of expandability. HP ticks all those boxes with the LaserJet P4015x, a component of a brand-new range of printers targeted at workgroups of 10 to 15 individuals.
This printer is much taller than most mono lasers we’ve evaluated because it comes as standard with a 2nd paper tray. Since both trays can hold 500 sheets, the machine is relatively high off the work desk. There is a 100-sheet multipurpose tray, too, which draws below the front of the printer.
That is all the standard paper resources, but, additionally, the printer can handle up to 6 trays, and among these can be a vast, 1,500-sheet mass tray. Various other options include a stapler/stacker, an envelope feeder, a unique media tray, more memory, and a hard disk drive for document storage space.
The control board is excellent and straightforward, with a critical pad for secure publishing and a 4-line by 16 personalities backlit LCD that includes access to tutorials on publishing methods published out of the machine’s firmware.
One feature we’ve seen on numerous current lasers is a USB outlet on the front so you can publish files in a blink. Unfortunately, there is nothing such as this on the HP machine. However, you can post securely by sending out data through its Gigabit Ethernet link and publishing just after you’ve reached the machine and entered a PIN. As well as the network user interface, there is a standard USB 2.0 outlet for a local link to a PC.

HP LaserJet P4015 Driver – Provided this printer’s 225,000 page-per-month duty cycle and the capacity of its drum and printer toner cartridges, it is unexpected how discreet they are. Fold the front cover of the printer, and you can slide in a cartridge with minimal hassle – and it does not vanish deep inside the machine’s system.
Software installation is also simple, with the driver and supplies monitoring energies packing efficiently from the CD. The drivers support duplex documents, brochures, watermarks, and multi-pages on each sheet and print at 600dpi and 1200dpi resolutions.
It is ridiculous speed times again, with HP estimating up to 50ppm for the LaserJet P4015x. We measured our usual five web page documents – text and text with video – and a 20-side document in simplex and duplex publish settings. With a high-duty printer such as this, it is reasonable to presume document sizes will be much longer than a smaller-sized, personal-use laser.
The five-page documents were published at 17 and 16 secs or an optimum speed of 18.75ppm. Take the paper sizes up to 20 web pages, which the printer defined in 37 secs, and you publish 32.4ppm. With documents of 50 web pages or more, you might obtain someplace close to 40ppm, but it is hard to see how you could get to the printer’s heading speed on long runs.
A high-speed printer like this will be used primarily for text print, and the LaserJet P4015x does very well. It creates spick-and-span personalities, sharp and thick at small dimensions, and greyscale text is reasonably smooth. Locations of greyscale fill are reasonable. However, there is a somewhat blotchy appearance to mid-range greys.
This small blotchiness brings through right into photo prints, but there is hardly any banding to notice and dark tones are well recreated. For a workgroup laser, our picture pictures are more significant than sensible.
One point HP could be said to be avoiding in the LaserJet P4015x is sound degree. When it does quote proper degree, the company uses acoustic power discharge, measured in Bels, while everyone else uses good degree, calculated in dBA.
HP’s technique may be more correct clinically, but it prevents you from contrasting the sound from its printers, keeping that from various other manufacturers. In truth, we measured this printer at peaks of 68 dBA at fifty percent a meter, which is loud enough to be annoying. You would not want the workgroup’s P4015x after your work desk.
The only consumables in this machine are the printer toner and drum cartridge, available in 2 capabilities of 10,000 web pages and 24,000 web pages, and the supposed User Upkeep Set, which seems a brand-new fuser, ranked at 200,000 web pages.
These consumables are readily available as they prevail in all the 4000 range of HP printers. Functioning through the numbers gives each web page 1.67p expense, which is not the most affordable fordable we’ve seen from a workgroup machine. The Lexmark T642, for instance, gives 1.47p.
