Canon imageCLASS MF4150 Review
Canon imageCLASS MF4150 Driver – The MF4150 is just 17.7 by 15.4 by 16.8 inches (HWD)—small enough to continue or close to your work desk without feeling as if it is towering over you. It evaluates just 28.2 extra pounds, about the like some large inkjets. But it is big on functionality.
As well as being a printer, it also works as a standalone photocopier and fax machine. It will let you easily fax a file from your PC’s hard disk drive. You can also scan to email by opening up a brand-new email message and connecting the scan as data.
Also better, the MF4150 offers excellent paper handling, with a 250-sheet paper tray—more compared to most individual printers—and integrated duplexing (printing on both sides of a web page). It also has a 35-page automated document feeder (ADF) to handle multipage documents for faxing, copying, and scanning. And its ratings well on the core printer problems of speed and output quality, especially speed.
Configuration is easy. Install the printer toner cartridge, load paper, connect the telephone cable television and power cable, and you are ready for standalone copying and faxing. Run the automated installation routine and connect in a USB cable television, and you can print and scan, too.
The MF4150 is ranked at 21 web pages each minute, a respectable clip for a small laser. More crucial, it measures up to its promise. It is the fastest AIO I’ve seen in its price range, taking 7 mins 55 secs on our business applications collection (timed with QualityLogic’s software and hardware, www.qualitylogic.com). The next fastest monochrome AIO in the MF4150’s price range, the Canon imageClass MF3240, took 8:36. The rather more expensive Konica Minolta PagePro 1390 MF took 9:16.

Canon imageCLASS MF4150 Driver – Although the MF4150’s output quality isn’t as outstanding as its speed, it is great enough for almost any workplace use. Text quality is just a touch listed below the best available. Over half the font styles in our quality test—including all the typical business fonts—were easily understandable.
Personalities were relatively well-formed at four factors, and just one highly stylized font style with thick strokes needed greater than eight factors to pass the test. Sadly, text that was easily understandable at four factors didn’t have quite the crisp, clean sides that the best lasers offer. This makes the MF4250 functional for text at small dimensions but a touch much less than ideal. Larger-size font styles are suitably crisp.
The MF4150’s video and photo quality are typical for monochrome lasers, a fifty percent step listed below the best available. Video suffice for any interior business use. Video quality, however, struggles with a pair of factors.
Slim lines tended to vanish (a common problem with printers). Dithering was easily noticeable through duplicating patterns at various grey degrees. As with most monochrome laser videos, I’d hesitate to hand the output over to an important customer I wanted to thrill with my professionalism.
Pictures also experience noticeable dithering and aliasing—jagged sides on angled lines such as the spokes of a wheel. But the MF4150’s pictures are of better quality than some lasers can manage.
They’re easily great enough to copy a web page with a photo on it or to print pictures from Internet web pages or in customer e-newsletters. (Those are among the most likely factors for printing pictures on a monochrome laser.)
Canon imageCLASS MF4150 Driver – Looking at it one feature each time, the Canon imageClass MF4150’s abilities range from great to excellent. Combined, its balance of functionality, speed, output quality, and small dimension amount to a seriously outstanding package. This stamina suffices to earn the MF4150, our new Editors’ Choice for individual monochrome laser AIOs.
