Epson WorkForce WF-3640 Scanner Driver – Using MEMs construction or microelectromechanical systems, the printhead includes a significantly greater variety of nozzles than previous head designs, creating a greater print thickness by using smaller-sized ink beads.

The WF-3640 is a four-function machine, but most home users will not need the fax function, as you can scan and e-mail straight from the device – a more attractive customer feature. However, there are times when faxing may be required, so having that option available actually could come in handy.

The WF-3640 costs more if you contrast it to a fundamental customer model – anywhere from $50 to $100 more. But that depends on your understanding of worth.

For the additional money, you obtain three paper inputs: 2 paper cabinets (each with a 250-sheet capacity, letter or lawful size) and a back paper port for specialized media, card stock, or envelopes.

The extra tray makes the unit a little bit bigger than a standard home MFP, measuring 17.7 x 16.8 x 12.1 inches and weighing 25.4 extra pounds. If you can do without the extra paper tray, Epson has a brother or sister model, the WF-3620, which is the same machine but costs $170.

Epson WorkForce WF-3640 Scanner Driver – Unlike some of the other Epson printers and MFPs we’ve evaluated, the WF-3640 cannot print on CD/DVDs. CD, there’s automated duplexing on both the printer and the 35-sheet automated document feeder (ADF).

Many printers and MFPs offer routine and high-capacity ink cartridges, and the WF-3640 is no exemption. The standard cartridges are approximated to yield 350 web pages in black and 360 web pages in color.

Prices on these differ from $13 for each color cartridge to $20 for the black cartridge. XL high-capacity cartridges are also available, with the $35 black cartridge and $30 color cartridges generating about 1,100 web pages.

The unit has a brilliant 3.5-inch color touchscreen that makes it easy to browse between functions and options. There is a numerical keypad for going into fax numbers or the variety of duplicates, together with switches for various other essential functions.

Also located on the front is a port for an SD Card and a USB port; these come in handy for printing documents off a blink own or conserving checked documents to one, and printing pictures from an electronic camera’s SD card.

Epson WorkForce WF-3640 Scanner Driver – Connection options are excellent. Along with USB, you can connect the MFP to a network using wired Ethernet or Wi-Fi or to a gadget using Wi-Fi Direct. You can also access the printer from another location using Epson’s own Epson Connect, Apple AirPrint, or Google Shadow Print.
