Canon PIXMA MP240 Driver – Colour illustrations were bright and accurately shaded. Also, in prepare setting, which prints at a relatively quick 7.5ppm, the text was clear and well specified. Picture quality was sharp, and light colours were accurate, although dark tones slightly did not have strength because the printer had no photo black ink.

Both colour and mono copy quality were excellent, with precise recreation of text and accurate colour and shading. Many budget MFPs are limited to 9 photocopies in a solitary run, but the MP240 can be set up to 20.

The ScanGear scanner software is streamlined, but all the usual Advanced Setting features are still present, from software-based dirt and scratch elimination to tone and darkness adjustment. By default, the scanner user interface shuts after each scan but can be readied to remain open up.

You can also keep the sneak peek picture in between checks. The 1,200dpi maximum resolution is more significant than most budget MFPs. Still, the incorporated Contact Picture Sensing unit (CIS) scanner is the best fit for scanning pictures for the internet or documents for archiving. Colours and shading were accurate, however.

Print costs of 7.9p for each mixed-colour web page are slightly higher compared to the other inkjets here, and the tri-colour cartridge needs to be changed if you run from any one colour.

Canon PIXMA MP240 Driver – However, the MP240’s meagre cost and excellent print quality make it our favourite low-price inkjet MFP. If you do not often print but still want good-quality prints and accurate checks, this is a perfect choice.
