Canon i-SENSYS MF8540Cdn Driver – The Canon i-SENSYS MF8540Cdn is a colour laser multifunction peripheral (MFP) with an ideal spec for a small firm, provided you do not need a facsimile machine. It can print, scan and copy in colour and is related to your network via Ethernet; there is no integrated Wi-Fi.

Canon i-SENSYS MF8540Cdn Review
Canon i-SENSYS MF8540Cdn Driver – Its 50-page automated document feeder (ADF) can scan both sides of a paper. It can make professional-looking double-sided photocopies or transform single-sided originals into a duplex copy, conserving paper.
Sadly, its control board is the least user-friendly we’ve encountered. A couple of its switches are labelled with text, and the symbols used are baffling; the menu switch appearances such as a speech bubble full of a giant asterisk, for instance.
Configuration is relatively simple, but the system defaulted to 2029, and, despite a numerical keypad, we needed to use the backwards and forwards keys to change it.
The MF8540Cdn defaults to duplex printing, which will conserve paper. Strangely, however, this was used for our mono letter test. Each web page of the 25-page test was re-fed through the printer, but the reverse was left blank.
This produced the correct outcome overall, but it slowed down the job. The tester changed duplexing off to obtain our timed results: black text was acceptably quick, at 16.5 web pages each min (ppm), while colour video reached an outstanding 15ppm.

Canon i-SENSYS MF8540Cdn Driver – This printer creates excellent text with razor-sharp descriptions and unique video with a beautiful shiny shine from the printer toner. There was no sign of banding or various other laser weak points. Our black and white test picture was also excellent, but colour pictures exhibited overemphasized colours: complexion was unrealistically warm, and eco-friendlies and blues tended to lurid.
We needed to dig deep into the print drivers to find the advanced colour options but could not find a setup with which we were delighted. Similarly, while mono duplicates were perfect, colours in duplicates just weren’t completely faithful to the originals.
It has a great scanner, coupled with among the best TWAIN scan user interfaces. Checks were dramatically concentrated with excellent colour and direct exposure control, although their 600dpi maximum resolution isn’t appropriate for advanced innovative work.
Canon’s scan user interface is excellent, offering both simple and advanced settings.
Canon i-SENSYS MF8540Cdn Driver – This MFP’s operating costs are a bit high at 11.2p each combined (black and colour) web page. This is more the situation when compared with a company inkjet such as the HP Officejet Pro X576dw, as its equivalent cost for each web page is about 4.2p. The MF8540Cdn has the better print quality, but the HP trounces it for speed and ease of use.
