Feel and look
A piano-black finish is the order of business, with a strangely enough attractive honeycomb pattern on the top cover of the all-in-one (printer, scanner, photocopier). It is Wi-Fi allowed, with 802.11b/g/n, and evaluates over 6kg when unpacked. There is also a range of applications so you can pander out your printer. However, at the moment of writing, the list is instead sporadic.
As with various other HP printers, the B110 comes with a recyclable “green” bag for the printer and a recyclable bag for peripherals and cables. It is a nice touch to provide some enviro-cred. Still, the tester can’t help but notice the excessive quantities of plastic product packaging, styrofoam, and tape that need to be binned before you can put the printer to use — not unique to HP. Certainly, it is endemic amongst printer manufacturers.

Initial set up
Normally, obtaining a printer ready for its close-up is anything but easy. So it’s with great enjoyment that we record the setup process for the B110 to be pain-free. The software installation (driver suitable with Mac and Windows) takes about 10 mins, throughout which you can unpack the printer, install the four ink cartridges and wait on it to finish gurgling and heat up for the very first time. Wi-Fi setup was very easy, with the printer immediately spotting the correct network.
