Various other apparent missing features include the lack of a network port, no Wi-Fi, no indeterminate/duplex printing, no card visitors, and no display. This device uses two cartridges instead of one.

When we removed this printer from the Package, what surprised us was how light and small the MG2450 is compared with others we’ve evaluated recently.

There appears to be unmentioned legislation in printing – a straight correlation between dimension or weight and the price of your device. At 3.5kg, this Canon initiative is lighter than some laptop computers we’ve evaluated. Its impact, hardly more significant than an A3 sheet, makes it ideal for a confined work desk in a small workplace/office environment.

Canon PIXMA MG2450 Driver – The printer is made entirely of plastic with a two-tone grey palette. Manages are maintained to a stringent minimum: 4 big switches can copy in colour/black, scan, and there is the obligatory power switch. A couple of condition lights complement the control switches.

As expected, you do not need to install any of them to get your printer to work correctly. The newest printer drivers and software can also be downloaded and installed straight from Canon’s support page; the most recent one days from January 2016.

The MG2450 has a ranked print resolution of up to 4800 x 600 dpi thanks to an ink system that can deliver 2pl ink beads, with a declared speed of about eight web pages each min for mono documents and four web pages each min for colour ones.

There are no paper cassettes, simply paper trays – the one at the back can handle up to 60 sheets up to A4 in dimension. It can also accommodate picture paper and envelopes; both trays fold nicely when not used (simply a word of care that these can best be explained as being a little lightweight, so birth that in mind).

Canon PIXMA MG2450 Driver – Unfortunately, we could not test the print quality or speed (or the copy feature). Our computer system immediately identified the MG2450, but a “user treatment” message stood out with no information regarding what treatment was required.

Fixing it, however, raised a worrying mistake: the printer isn’t suitable with USB 3.0 ports – “USB Compound Device is an older USB device and might not deal with USB 3.0”.

We contacted Canon for further information since we didn’t have any available USB 2.0 ports to hand or another USB printer cable television. We will upgrade this hands-on as quickly as we’ve obtained more information.

Strangely enough, the scanner did work. It uses CIS technology which helps in reducing costs and power consumption by decreasing the dimension and variety of elements. A 600 x 1200 dpi resolution (optical) checks an A4 sheet in about 15 seconds.
