Canon PIXMA TS6120 Review
Apart from the enhancement of Bluetooth and a couple of other small modifiers, the TS6120 isn’t different from its precursor. It appears and prints the same, and at the same rates, for the same market price, which has to do with $50, much less than the Editors’ Choice Canon Pixma TS9120.
Such as most consumer-grade picture printers in this price range, the TS6120 is slow and has no automated document feeder (ADF). It prints pretty well, though—especially photos—making it a practical lower-cost alternative to the more expensive and more expensive-to-use Canon TS9120.
Small and Light on Features
Among the primary distinctions between the TS6120 ($476.99 at Amazon.com) and its higher-end Canon TS9120 brother or sister is that it uses just five inks, compared to the higher-end AIO’s six inks.
Along with the four standard cyan, magenta, yellow, and black (CMYK) dye-based inks, the TS6120 also uses a pigment-black ink for creating deeper blacks in text and graphics; along with the pigment-black ink, the Canon TS9120 has a photo-blue ink for enhancing information and broadening the colour range, inning accordance with Canon.
Epson, too, offers consumer-grade picture AIOs with more significance than the traditional 4 CMYK inks. That company’s closest rival to the TS6120 is the Epson Expression Premium XP-640 Small-in-One.

Measuring 5.5 by 14.7 by 12.5 inches (HWD) with its trays shut and evaluating simply 13.6 extra pounds, the TS6120 is similar in dimension and weight to the Canon TS6020 and very enclosed dimensions and girth to the various other TS-series models.
Epson’s XP-640, on the various other hands, is several inches much longer and about eight extra pounds heavier. Still, the impact of all these AIOs increases significantly when you prolong the back paper tray and front output tray. However, despite their trays being released, they’re all equally small and take up hardly any work desk space.
One factor they’re all so small—at the very least—is that none, consisting of the Epson XP-640, comes with ADFs. Typically, to obtain an ADF from a supposed “picture” printer such as this, you needed to step up to among Epson’s six-ink models, such as the Expression Picture XP-960 Small-in-One.
However, recently, Canon launched the Pixma TR8520 Wireless Home Workplace All-in-One, such as the TS6120, a five-ink AIO, but it comes with a 20-page ADF. The Canon TR8520 is a bit larger and a bit more expensive, but it uses the same print engine as the TS6120, meaning that it performs about the same regarding print speed and output quality.
Such as the higher-end Canon TS9120 ($476.99 at Amazon.com), the TS6120 comes with two paper trays, a 100-sheet cassette in advance and a 100-sheet tray that prolongs up and out of the back. You can also load the back tray with up to 20 sheets of premium picture paper.
Published web pages arrive at an outcome tray that prolongs out of the front, but, unlike on the Canon TS9120, the output tray doesn’t release immediately, as needed; you must draw it out on your own.
You can set up the TS6120 and set up walkup jobs, such as printing from the shadow and production duplicates, from its 3-inch touch-screen LCD and a handful of bordering switches, including Power, Home, Back, Begin (black copies), Begin (colour copies), and Quit (terminate).
The touch screen’s dimension is another method in which the TS6120 varies from its higher-end siblings; the TS9120, for instance, has a 5-inch touch display. Of the 4 TS-series models, the TS6120 is the just one that does not support an SD sd card. Additionally, Canon no longer releases either the maximum monthly duty cycle or suggested monthly print quantity scores for any one of its consumer-grade printers.
