However, there is one crucial enhancement. Rather than being limited to scanning just one side of a web page, it can check both sides simultaneously. Not just can it deal with duplex (two-sided) documents, it can handle them at a reasonably fast speed.

That alone suffices to earn the MFC-8910DW of the particular passion rate to any mini or small workplace or workgroup that needs to check, copy, or fax multi-page duplex documents. But it also helps that the printer offers just the same abilities that make the Brother MFC-8710DW and appealing choice for durable needs.

Basic MFP features consist of printing, checking, and fax, consisting of over a network and working as a standalone photocopier and fax machine. Also more crucial is that it can check in duplex, which may be an also better feature compared to you think.

There are two ways to check both sides of a web page. What most affordable MFPs offer is often called a turning around ADF. With these MFPs, the ADF is doing the duplexing, scanning one side of a web page, turning the web page over, and after that scanning the various other sides.

With the MFC-8910DW, the scanner does the duplexing, with two check aspects that each check one side of the web page simultaneously. The outcome is much faster checks, with the paper moving through the ADF just once rather than two times.

Theoretically, using two check aspects should let you check both sides of the web page as quickly as one side, which is usually accurate for most duplexing desktop computer scanners, for instance. In my tests with the MFC-8910DW, however, the scanner noticeably decreased when I checked in duplex. Fortunately, the speed was still a great deal, much faster than scanning each side individually.

Paper Handling and Configuration

The MFC-8910DW also ratings well theoretically handling for printing, with a 250-sheet paper cabinet, a 50-sheet multi-purpose tray, and an integrated print duplexer. That should suffice for most small workplaces, but if you need more, you can boost the input capacity to 800 sheets with an optional 500-sheet second cabinet.

Keep in mind that the mix of a duplexing scanner and duplexing printer gives you the ability to copy both single- and double-sided web pages for your choice of single- or double-sided duplicates.

As with the Brother MFC-8710DW and most other MFPs with a comparable paper capacity, the MFC-8910DW is a bit large to share a work desk comfortably, at 17.6 by 19.3 by 16.3 inches (HWD). However, it is small enough to be in shape quickly sufficient in most mini or small workplaces. Presuming you have room for it, the configuration is standard.
