Epson SureColor P5000 Driver – Epson inkjet printers have been a staple in photographers’ workshops for several years and significant factors. Each generation of equipment and ink set development brings picture printing to new degrees. That trajectory proceeds with the SureColor P5000, Epson’s most unknown, large style 17-inch desktop computer printer.

FEATURES

Epson SureColor P5000 Driver – The follower to the Stylus Pro 4900 is available in 3 versions: The Standard version, evaluated here, retails for $1,995. Specifically, industrial and Developer versions are also available for $1,995 and $2,495. The Industrial version comes with Pantone-friendly Violet ink rather than “light black,” while the Industrial model consists of an EFI Intense eXpress for Epson RIP.

Featuring a 10-color UltraChrome HDX pigment inks, the P5000 uses 200mL cartridges, including orange and green inks to the core cyan, light cyan, yellow, vivid magenta, vivid light magenta, and 3 degrees of black (Picture or Matte, soft black, and light black).

The printer is also equipped with 2 upkeep tanks, consisting of one for indeterminate printing. These tanks are designed as repositories for extra ink (yes, we understand those words make you cringe; more about that later on). Integrated roll printing and a high-capacity cassette complement front and top feeds. An optional SpectroProofer is also available.

The printer and its ink set deliver a more comprehensive color range, 1.5x greater thickness blacks, and print permanence double that of its precursor. That equates to up to 200 years for color prints and up to 400 years for black and white—provided you store them properly. Best of luck finding a hard disk drive that will last that long.

DESIGN

Epson SureColor P5000 Driver – The SC P5000 is a monster, albeit good-looking. It evaluates almost 115 extra pounds and measures 34.0 x 30.2 x 15.8 inches with the exit tray shut. Unpacking and moving the printer to a durable table is a two-person job. Once you disengage the printer from its box, the configuration is easy, if a bit lengthy. Number about 45 mins to an hr, at best, until it is ready to print.

Overall, the printer is well designed. It is equipped with Gigabit Ethernet and USB 2.0 ports, an integrated rotating cutter, and full color, 2.7-inch LCD control board. The last, together with an alert light on the front of the printer, provides important notices about ink condition, paper feed problems, and more, decreasing the moment invested in investigating what issue the printer may be experiencing.

The printer does present something of a knowing contour. While the control board works, you might need to dig into the menu before finding what options exist. It is best to maintain that user manual handy.

Epson SureColor P5000 Driver – At the same time, you need to manage your print output via software. Epson’s Print Layout application, a free download, proved very useful, especially when establishing scenic views or custom print dimensions.

The software also provides devices for producing personalized gallery-wrap prints. But the great information is that the Epson Advanced Black and White Picture Setting finally has live sneak peeks, so your modifications are assessed by your selected picture instead of a recommendation picture.

Epson SureColor P5000 Driver – Another plus is enhancing dustproof features such as the fully enclosed roll feed. The clear but sturdy plastic allows you to watch the printing process. Epson has also improved dirt and fixed control to decrease print head nozzle upkeep.

All isn’t perfect, however. Marring the overall excellent development quality is the instead lightweight plastic output tray. It does not slide efficiently in or from the main body and although we do not think it will damage, moving the tray requires a bit of jiggling.

The tray is also a bit brief for larger/much longer prints, and since there is no capture basket, some photos will most likely wind up on the flooring if you are not there to grab them.

Epson SureColor P5000 Driver – The front sheet feed requires some finessing to align the paper since there is only a note (instead of physical overviews) to place the media. It is easier to use the top feed for lighter-weight paper and conserve the front feed for thicker, more stiff media.
