HP LaserJet 600 M602 Review

HP LaserJet 600 M602 Driver – In price and abilities, the HP LaserJet Enterprise 600 Printer M602dn rests directly between 2 Editors’ Choice high-volume mono lasers, the HP LaserJet Enterprise 600 Printer M601dn and the HP LaserJet Enterprise 600 Printer M603dn. However, it didn’t quite suit the others in output quality in our testing; the M602dn is easy to suggest for its scorching speed, robust feature set, and prodigious duty cycle.

The M602dn measures 15.7 by 16.3 by 20 inches (HWD) and evaluates 58 extra pounds. The front panel has a 4-line monochrome LCD and some basic control switches: Home, Help, Quit, and Back, plus a 2-way rocker control with facility switch. To the right is a numerical keypad for going into PINs for password-protected printing; listed below the panel is a port for a USB thumb own.

The M602dn has a 600-sheet paper capacity, split between a 500-sheet main tray and a 100-sheet multipurpose feeder. It has an automated duplexer for printing on both sides of a sheet of paper integrated into it.

Additional paper-handling options consist of a 1,500-sheet input tray ($499 direct), a 500-sheet input tray ($299), a 400-sheet custom media cassette ($229 direct), a 75-sheet envelope feeder ($249), a 500-sheet stacker ($149), a 500-sheet stapler/stacker ($249), and a 500-sheet 5-bin mailbox ($399). Maximum paper capacity is 3,600 sheets.

The M602dn is the center model of HP’s M602 collection. The M602n ($999 direct) does not have an automated duplexer, while the M602x ($1,499 direct) consists of the duplexer and includes an extra 500-sheet paper tray.

Output Quality

Overall, output quality was a little bit below average but still acceptable for essential business use. Text quality was slightly substandard for a laser but still appropriate for most business uses besides those requiring minimal font styles.

HP LaserJet 600 M602 Driver- The M602dn’s video quality was slightly substandard for a mono laser, excellent for typical business uses. However, the tester did not hesitate to use it for records tester did not be handing to associates the tester was looking for to thrill. It had difficulty rendering distinctions in shading in specific numbers. Some illustrations exhibited mild banding, a recurring pattern of pass-out striations—an issue that the tester didn’t see with the various other M600-series printers.

Picture quality was typical of mono lasers, excellent enough for printing out identifiable pictures from files or Internet web pages.

The M602dn shares the M603dn’s significantly reduced operating costs (1.2 cents each web page). The OKI B730DN’s cost for each web page is 1.4 cents, while the M601dn’s is 1.7 cents for each web page.

In price, speed, and duty cycle, the HP LaserJet Enterprise 600 Printer M602dn stands between 2 Editors’ Choice models in HP’s schedule, the M601dn, and M603dn. It shares the M603dn’s very inexpensive web page and its keypad for secure, password-protected printing.

It costs $300 more than the M601dn, but with a reduced cost; for each web page, you had to comprise the price distinction after printing 60,000 web pages. The M602dn’s output quality didn’t quite suit the various other 2 in our testing, but it’s OK for most business needs. This model has a great deal to offer and deserves a shut appearance by companies looking for a fast mono laser for high-volume printing for a large workgroup.
