Epson L355 Review
This printer, with physical dimensions of 472 x 300 x 145 mm, weighs 4.4 kg. The physical design is not much different from the Epson L350, which is quite simple & elegant, with a black body as its own image for a printer capable of printing on this photo paper. As one of the Epson L Series inkjet printers, the Epson L355 is a multifunction device that combines print, scan, and copy functions in a printer device with additional Wi-fi features.
This Wi-fi feature is the main difference between the Epson L355 and the Epson L350. With this Wi fi feature, the Epson L355 will be easier to use in workgroups in the office and make it easier to print documents and pictures directly from the smartphone device.
This printer can also be supported by the Epson iPrint application to print directly from Android smartphones and iPhones, which can be easily downloaded at the application store. The Epson L355 is equipped with a CISS (Continuous Ink Supply System) with an original Epson ink tank attached to the side of the Epson printer, which has become the hallmark of the Epson L Series.
With a compact and simple design that characterizes the Epson L series, this multifunction printer has a control panel button that is unique in its location. The power button and several other buttons are located in the centre of the front of the printer. It is unique because it is rare for A4 multifunction inkjet printers to place the printer panel in the centre of the front.
This button is the power button and one push-button for the scan & copy process to make it easier for users to use it. As well as an additional Wi fi button. This control panel can be lifted slightly to make it easier for users and look more sophisticated.
The Epson L355 paper holder at the top of the printer in a portrait position can accommodate up to 100 sheets of 75-gram A4 paper, while glossy photo paper can accommodate up to 20 sheets of A4 size glossy paper.
The Epson L355 multifunction inkjet printer has a print speed of up to 33 ppm (pages per minute) for printing in black draft mode and A4 colour printing with draft mode up to 15 ppm. Meanwhile, to print 4R-sized photos, this printer takes 69 seconds with default mode and 27 seconds with photo draft mode.
The print speed is indeed much better and distinguishes it from the Epson L110 and L210. Another difference is that Epson also gave two bottles of original Epson black ink. The Epson L300 sales package includes two bottles of Black ink and three bottles of ink for cyan, magenta, and yellow.
The print quality it has is 5760 x 1440 dpi (with Variable-Sized Droplet Technology) as a support for the maximum level of print output. Epson provides Micro Piezo technology as the print head in this inkjet printer machine.
The colour copier feature is also not to be outdone by the print feature. With fast mode, the L355 printer can copy at speeds up to 5 CPM (copy per minute) to copy black & white documents (draft mode A4). As for copying colour documents (draft mode A4), the speed can reach 10 cm.
The maximum copy paper that this multifunction printer can produce is 20 pages for one copy command. This printer has a colour scanner with a resolution of 1200 x 2400 dpi for the scan feature.
With a Flatbed colour image scanner, the scan area that can be achieved is 216 x 297mm (8.5 x 11.7″). Scan speed varies depending on the file being scanned. This printer, which is priced at two million, has quite efficient electricity consumption. There are only about 12 watts when working, 3.5 watts in standby mode, and 1.5 watts in sleep mode.
This Epson L355 Inkjet has a fairly minimalist design. The L355 printer is intended for SME users (small and medium businesses) and agencies with higher productivity and printing needs than home use. However, home users can use it.
